collectionFall 2005The fall 2005 collection is inspired by Val's spring '05 trip to Western Australia, a country of contrasts-harsh /desert climates yet rich with wildlife, flora and marine life. Val was awed by the intense colors and textures of this vast and often barren country. This collection is a reflection of Val's experience in Australia. Each valstonebag is handmade and fully lined with stand out patterns featuring a zippered pocket and cell phone compartment. Kalbarri | Monkey Mia Kalbarri:Named after enormous once molten natural bridges of red earth and rock, along the Western Australian coastline, this bag is an intense statement of strength, passion and excitement. The deep magenta reds combine with fiery oranges and yellows making these bags a study of Mother Nature's vibrant depth and range of color. Monkey Mia:Blues sprinkled with ribbons of aqua and crystal blue evoke images of endless ocean and shimmering skies as this bag revels in the vibrant hues of this Western Australian coastal cove. Shell Beach:Imagine a beach made entirely of small shells. At first glance the beach appears to be one solid color, but upon closer inspection this bag, like the beach, is an intricate weaving of textures fused with subtle changes of rich earthy browns, sprinkled complementary tones of blues, purples, and yellows. Western Australian Sea Grasses:Like the richly abundant sea grasses that cover the ocean floor of the Western Australian coastal coves, these bags shimmer and shake with movement of the elements.
